Norrbottenspets

The Norrbottenspets is a Nordic spitz-type dog breed that originated in Sweden and is closely related to the Finnish Spitz. Traditionally used as hunting dogs, they were valued for their intelligence, agility, and strong prey drive. After nearly becoming extinct due to decreased demand post-World War II, dedicated breeders revived the breed. Today, they are sought after for their affectionate, loyal, and energetic nature, making them excellent family companions. They are versatile, requiring ample exercise and mental stimulation. While they can be wary of strangers and prone to barking, they thrive with active families and proper training.
